The undergraduate degree in real estate, is a broad interdisciplinary degree program with courses offered in Economics, Finance, Geography, History of Art and Architecture, History, Public Policy, Political Science and Sociology as well in the College of Commerce.
The B.S. with a Real Estate major culminates in eight courses (30 quarter hours). Five required courses and three elective courses. Real Estate majors will also have three major electives and four open electives, but we are making recommendations on how to fill them. The list of the Required & Elective courses can be found below. Note: real estate majors must take FIN 310 and FIN 320.
To declare a major in Real Estate, a student must meet the following requirements:
Through the office of The Real Estate Center (14 E. Jackson, Suite 900) there are opportunities for scholarships, internships, and placement referral.
