Concentration in Real Estate Finance and Investment

In order to provide flexibility, the concentration requires only two of the current Finance department offerings in real estate and then permits students to select the remaining courses in their concentration plus their open electives from a list of Economics, Finance, Marketing, Management, Law, Public Policy, Sociology, and Geography courses.

Students who wish to select their remaining elective courses from these recommended areas may develop a real estate specialization in one of the following five areas:

(i)Management and Operations
(ii)Finance and Transactions
(iii)Urban Planning and Management of Public Sector Enterprises
(iv)Research, Market Analysis and Decision Support
(v)Development and Entrepreneurship

   ****Students with sufficient legal background may also enroll in the following Law School courses with permission of the Real Estate Center Director. These courses are taught on a semester basis.
