CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

Continuing Professional Education Courses are a unique opportunity for you to learn about the latest developments in real estate, network with professionals and thought leaders, and experience an interactive, lively exchange of pragmatic ideas about the industry.

The Real Estate Center offers ten continuing and professional education courses at the DePaul Center — the university’s Loop campus in the heart of the city at the corner of Jackson Boulevard and State Street.

• Commercial Real Estate
• Construction Management
• CCIM (Commercial Investment Real Estate Series)

Certificates

Each course is designed as a comprehensive, stand-alone workshop on the subject matter covered. Individuals seeking more understanding of the critical skills in commercial real estate may elect to take a series of courses and, thus, achieve a Professional Certificate in Commercial Real Estate or a Professional Certificate in Construction Management.

To earn this certificate, a participant must complete five (5) courses offered by The Real Estate Center as Continuing & Professional Education. Any two (2) affiliated CCIM courses offered through The Real Estate Center may also apply toward the requirement. No more than two (2) construction management courses may apply toward the Professional Certificate.

To earn this certificate, a participant must complete the four (4) construction management courses offered by The Real Estate Center as Continuing & Professional Education.

You can conveniently satisfy continuing education (CE) requirements at DePaul's Loop Campus with some of our courses that meet licensing renewal requirements.

Brokers & Salespersons: Most courses are certified for six CE credits. We have partnered with the Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR) to offer you these advanced courses to meet your elective CE requirements by the State of Illinois. As required by state law, brokers & salespersons will be required to take, and pass (70% correct) a 50-question multiple choice exam at the end of class, in order to receive CE credit.
